SchoolToGo – Website & Secure Digital Transition
Schooltogo is an online educational platform providing Ukrainian children with access to schooling, teachers, and classmates regardless of where they are currently located. The project was launched as a rapid response to the outbreak of Ukrainian war, with a clear mission: ensure continuity of education, human connection, and psychological support during Russia’s agression.
Education at SchoolToGo goes beyond lessons – it is built on relationships, understanding, creativity, and care. Alongside online classes and a 24/7 learning platform, the project also provides vocational guidance and psychological support through a team of teachers and psychologists.
Challenge
The platform was already live and actively used when Revolware joined the project. One of the main challenges was to ensure a smooth and fast transition between the original system and a newly redesigned, rethought web experience – without disrupting access for students, parents, and teachers.
At the same time, data safety and reliability were absolutely critical. Parents needed reassurance that their children’s data would not be lost, misused, or exposed, while the website itself faced continuous pressure, hacker attacks, DDoS attempts and high security demands. Any downtime or data failure would directly impact real children in vulnerable situations.
Revolware’s Role
Revolware took responsibility for website design, development, infrastructure setup, and long-term stability, balancing speed with precision.
Our work included:
- Full website redesign focused on clearer UX and accessibility
- Setup of hosting and development environments
- Accelerated design and development of a signup form on the old, existing website to avoid onboarding gaps
- Proper data collection, validation, testing, and submission logic for forms
- Seamless integration of form design and collected data into the new website
- Implementation and explanation of Google Tag setup for analytics
- Correct addition of EU funding visibility elements once the project received EU support
- Design and development of a Documents section
- Design and development of an interactive Map section, showcasing teachers, students, and countries of operation
- Several iterations of the Courses section to match the rapidly changing online education environment and regulations
- Migration of chatbot functionality from the original website and feature enhancements
- Ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and functional improvements
- Continuous validation of data flows, form storage, and email delivery settings
- Continuous website data security
Throughout the project, special attention was paid to data protection, backups, secure storage, and system resilience, ensuring trust from parents and uninterrupted access for students.
Result
SchoolToGo successfully transitioned to a new, modern, and secure web platform without losing functionality or users during the process. The redesigned site improved clarity for parents and students, simplified onboarding, and created a stable foundation for further growth.
Most importantly, the platform continues to serve its core mission: helping Ukrainian children return to structured learning, feel connected, and not feel alone, even while far from home.
